“Puras Cosas Maravillosas” is a drama that celebrates the power of humor, De la Vega’s main work tool. It tells the story of a girl who at the age of 7 begins to make a list of the things that are worth living for, in the face of her mother’s chronic depression and her repeated suicide attempts. The acclaimed director Michel Hausmann was the one who recruited De la Vega for the “one-woman show” with which the first ever all Spanish season will be launched at the Colony Theatre. An English version (Every Brilliant Thing), with a male protagonist, was part one of HBO’s most successful documentaries in 2017.
