Abstract painting is a way to express and discover your inner self. This one-day workshop is designed for beginners and advanced students who want to explore and create abstract works of art. The class will work on a series of exercises and technical skills to develop spontaneity and expressiveness to capture composition, form, light, volume, and movement on the canvas.
You will do several painting exercises to learn abstract painting methods, techniques, and image structures to discover direct ways of exploring several art materials and their applications.

The exercises are experimental enough to push your spontaneity and creativity while providing clear technical information about color, texture, value, composition. Abstract is not simply messing around with paint but rather an optimal way to express gestures, emotions, fleeting moments, and subtleties for visual interpretation.
All materials are included, but if you have paint colors, brushes, palette knives you want to use, feel free to bring them! All mediums are welcome.
