About: The reduction print method is making use of the same linoleum block to print an image in multiple colors. In this workshop, the process begins by carving a design into a linoleum block and printing the first color on each sheet of paper in the edition. The printmaker carves more of the same block away and proceeds to print the second color. The process of carving and printing continues for each additional color until the final layer is printed. Once the entire process is completed, another edition can never be made because the block has been carved away during the creation process. Come to the workshop with image ideas and/or drawings and be ready to create a beautiful multi-color lino-cut.
