From Sinatra to Scarface, the City of Miami Beach has made an indelible mark on the world of cinema, music videos, photography, commercials and more. Comprised of a seven mile beach and neighborhoods with their own distinct flavor, the City continues to provide a variety of unique, quintessential locations for film, art, fashion and more. To further the City's legacy of being a premiere destination for film, the City's Film Production Incentive Grant Program awards grants to at least nine feature films, music videos, television shows, documentaries, short films and even web series to enable production in the city.

About

The City of Miami Beach supports the film industry including (but are not limited to) documentaries, films made in Miami, short films, features, or web series. We seek to promote films with artful cinematography, effective storytelling, originality and feasibility, contemporary cultural relevance, and potential to reach and connect with diverse Miami Beach audiences. The City also funds eligible nonprofit cultural presenters, including:

  1. Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education, Inc.
  2. Inffinito Art & Cultural Foundation, Inc. (Brazilian Film Festival)
  3. Italian Film Festival (Cinema Italy)
  4. Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Inc.

Film Incentives

The City of Miami Beach Film Production Incentive Grant has been established to support and incentivize productions in Miami Beach. Benefits include:

  • $10,000 grants;
  • $25,000 local spend required;
  • a minimum of three (3) shoot days in Miami Beach, as applicable;
  • can be combined with Miami and Miami-Dade Country incentive programs
  • awarded quarterly; and
  • films, scripted TV shows and web series, commercials, music videos, documentaries, all can apply!
