SoundScape Cinema Series 2023-2024

The City of Miami Beach is excited to welcome you back for the 14th season of SoundScape Cinema Series!
Join us as we highlight some of our favorite movies this season!

The Cinema Series at SoundScape Park is held each Wednesday, October- May, beginning at 8 p.m. Each film screening is free to the public and does not require a ticket. Subscribe to the MBArtsAndCulture weekly eblast to receive weekly updates on the movie series.

In order to welcome all members of our community, films in SoundScape Park will be screened with English subtitles and captions, where available. The SoundScape Cinema Series is presented by the City of Miami Beach. Any requests for any other accommodations should call 305.604.2489 and select 1 for English or 2 for Spanish, then option 6; TTY users may call via 711 (Florida Relay Service).

    Following the upsetting loss of Gamora, Peter Quill faces the challenging task of boosting his ragtag team's morale to embark on another no-holds-barred quest across the universe. Quill and his allies must endure new tests to their bonds or face the end of their run as Guardians. The third installment in the Marvel franchise.

    In an American desert town in the mid-fifties, the Junior Stargazer Convention attracts stargazers of different ages. A group of students and their parents visit the town to attend the event. What follows is an unexpected exchange of ideas and experiences that lead to eye-opening revelations.

    Daredevil archaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary dial that can change the course of history. Accompanied by his goddaughter, he soon finds himself squaring off against Jürgen Voller, a former Nazi who works for NASA.

  • The Little Mermaid , Directed by Rob Marshall (2023)

    Ariel, a mermaid princess, is curious about all things human. Ariel asks sea witch Ursula to take her voice in exchange for legs, as this is the only way she could explore the human world of Eric, her love interest. Her frustrated father, King Triton, is worried. But her trusted sea creature friends Flounder and Sebastian still watch over her.

Cautioned against pursuing his course of action, Hunt continues to fight for what he believes to be right.     Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire-, water-, land- and air residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.

    Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.

  • Fast X , Directed by Louis Leterrier (2023)

    This installment in the Fast and Furious franchise chronicles the rise of a new threat against Dom and his loved ones. Years after his father, Hernan Reyes, was defeated by Dom, Dante seeks vengeance, and nothing can stop him. Dom must confront Dante without risking the lives of his own family. But Dante's already after Dom's son Brian.

    Mrs. Harris, an English domestic servant who falls in love with a couture Dior dress, decides she must buy one of her own. After she raises the funds to buy the dress, Mrs. Harris sets off on a journey to Paris that will change the course of her life. Paul Gallico's classic 1958 novel inspires the narrative.

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem , Directed by Jeff Rowe (2023)

    Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo are four turtle brothers with a unique set of skills and a penchant for mischief, which runs them afoul of New York City. Yet when a horde of sinister mutants begins to wreak havoc, the city must learn to rely on the turtles if they are to be saved.

  • The Wizard of Oz , Directed by Victor Fleming (1939)

    A young farm girl and her little dog are magically transported into the enchanted land of Oz via a Kansas tornado. As they travel down Oz's Yellow Brick Road to find the Wizard and ask him to send them home, they encounter a wonderful, funny, terrifying and, ultimately, enlightening group of characters, human and otherwise. This 1939 award-winning film classic (Best Score and Best Song Academy Awards) is a perennial favorite that has recently been meticulously restored.
