About: Since winning the Grand Prix prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition and being awarded Gramophone’s 2016 Artist of the Year, pianist Daniil Trifonov has catapulted to global fame as “without question the most astounding pianist of our age” (The Times). Trifonov makes his NWS debut alongside MTT, performing fellow Russian pianist Alexander Scriabin’s only Concerto. Hector Berlioz’s dramatic symphony is a stirring portrayal of Shakespeare’s tragic love story. New Conducting Fellow Chad Goodman takes the New World Center podium for the first time for Ludwig van Beethoven’s Egmont Overture.
