This workshop is an experience that you will surely grow creatively from and move on into a new direction in your future projects.

In this two-day workshop, Janie will be teaching some of the trending techniques that STREET, MURAL, and MIXED MEDIA artists use today to create a layered and dynamic mixed media piece with the street art inspired aesthetic. You will be invited to explore the following techniques by applying them to your own large scale work of art, based on the theme or event you want to build your work upon.

The techniques include:

• Proper collage technique
• Gold leaf application
• Photo transfers with gel medium
• Graffiti typography
• Discussion of the history of the street art movement.

Midway through each session, the group will evaluate and critique the pieces. Group participation is always beneficial in the journey. Attendees will leave this workshop with a completed piece! This workshop is for all levels of experience.
