ART CLASS: Intro to Relief Printmaking: Block Printing

When: Tuesday, June 18 from 3 to 6 P.M. / Saturday, July 13, from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M.

Where: Oolite Arts, 924 Lincoln Road, 2nd Floor

About: Create your own original design on paper, which will then be transferred to the printing block. You will learn about carving tools, as well as the different surfaces used for carving, such as linoleum, wood and others. This workshop will provide a general introduction to the concept of repeat image printing. The distinctions between artists, proofs and limited edition prints will be discussed while exploring the many applications of this process.
