The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU will honor four outstanding women on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 23rd Annual Breaking the Glass Ceiling Awards Luncheon and Program. The ceremony features presentations made by the honorees describing the obstacles and inspirations they encountered on their individual journeys to success. The Museum is proud to recognize this year’s honorees: Susan Brustman, Michelle Oka Doner, Mera Rubell & Elizabeth Schwartz and to welcome them into our prestigious group of nearly 100 Breaking the Glass Ceiling honorees to date.

This annual award was established by the museum in 1996 for Jewish women in Florida who have broken the proverbial glass ceiling in professional fields that are normally dominated by men. Winners have been selected from a wide variety of fields including medicine, banking, accounting, academia, politics, law, aviation, journalism, sports and entertainment. Nominees are also judged based upon activities in the Jewish and civic communities and serving as role models for other women.
